Hedgelaying

Country Hurdles and HedgelayingCountry Hurdles and HedgelayingHedgelaying is a traditional form of management, originally to form a stock proof barrier around fields and land.
Nowadays it is also used to create a habitat beneficial to wildlife, a thick hedge is a refuge for birds, insects, wild plants and more.
The fresh regrowth from the cut stems helps to create a strong healthy hedge, thickening up thin hedges and renewing old gappy boundaries.
I have worked for many satisfied customers in Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire and further afield. Clients include local authorities, Wildlife Trusts, The National Trust, The Woodland Trust and numerous private clients and land owners.
I can work on younger planted hedges to old neglected hedges, from 20 to 2000 meters or more.
